...This was a dolls house i got for £8 from a car boot. It was made made from ply by a grandad for his grandaughter. When i got it the whole thing was painted in just 1 coat of white emulsion and has geen windows. I used homebase 'classic cream' matt emulsion (one of my favourites) and a baby pink which i got from Crown. It was a custom mix that the person never collected so i got the tin for £2.50. The leopard is fablon, which took ages to source, and the black carpet is an off cut from my dining room. I sold this on ebay in the end as i needed the space, but i wish i hadn't, because not only have i had another baby girl, but this is really useful for storage. Can be used as a book shelf, bedside storage etc...ho hum! Plenty more where that came from...

This was the first piece of furniture i ever 'renovated'. I did it for my son, who was about 3 at the time, and i was convinced he was going to be a comic book guy. Now he is 8 and into pokemon, so my daughter and i decided to 'pinkify' it instead. I think it was originally £69.99 from Argos and the boxes were a tenner for 6, but you can get them all second hand all the time.
